We collect personal information when you make an enquiry via post, email, website, or phone, as well as when you submit applications or send in CVs.

· Engaging with clients during the process of editing television programmes and other content creation.

· Managing our business operations, record keeping, finance, and marketing.

Enquiries and Feedback: When you contact us with an enquiry, we collect your name and contact details.

PRODUCTION COMPANY PARTNERS

If we collaborate with you in editing a programme, we may need to collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number, gender, and date of birth to maintain communication.

RECRUITMENT

Recruitment for Scoot Media is overseen by our managing director, Sam Billinge. We welcome unsolicited CVs; however, due to the volume of submissions, we may not be able to respond to all of them.

DATA HANDLING

Your information will only be accessed by Scoot Media staff members who have a direct need to do so. It may be processed by third parties involved in our operations, such as our IT or financial providers. These third parties will process the information solely for tasks directly related to Scoot Media and will be bound by contractual safeguards.

INFORMATION SHARING

We may share your information in limited circumstances, including with other team members participating in or contributing to the editing of a programme. We may also disclose information to law enforcement or regulatory bodies as required by law for crime investigation purposes. We do not pass or sell your information to third parties.

DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as the enquiry is open. All personal data is securely stored, whether in paper or electronic form, and is kept as long as we have a genuine business need for it. When personal information is no longer required, it is securely destroyed.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EEA

Your information will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) without adequate safeguards. If such transfers occur, Scoot Media will ensure that they are handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP IT?

Personal information will be kept for as long as the enquiry is open. All personal data is kept under secure conditions for as long as we have a genuine business need to keep it. Any personal information will be securely destroyed when it is no longer required.
